The village of
Tayinloan is situated on the west coast of Kintyre, 18 miles
north of Campbeltown and 19 miles south of Tarbert.
The village itself has a village general store with sub post
office, a village hall and play park.
A ferry
service runs between Tayinloan and the stunning island of
Gigha. The
Kintyre Way runs through the village, a long distance
walk from Tarbert in the North to Southend in the South and
covering 106 miles.
Point Sands
Holiday Park, 1 mile north of Tayinloan, offers a superb
base for exploring Kintyre and offering self catering
caravans and coastal location for tourers and camping.
