Located at Tangy (2 miles off the main Campbeltown road) in a spectacular rural setting with magnificent views of the Atlantic Ocean and Islay beyond, Hazel’s Cottage is a haven of peace and tranquillity offering luxurious accommodation for 4 people and a warm friendly welcome.

Hazel’s Cottage sits adjacent to Dalnaspidal Guest House, Kintyre’s only 5 star establishment, and is only 10 minutes from Campbeltown and 15 minutes from the world renowned Machrihanish Golf Course.

Overview

The Cottage briefly comprises the following:

■	Bathroom with shower over bath and a range of storage cabinets
■	Open plan Living Room/Kitchen with multi-fuel stove and bar counter for dining as well as direct access to the rear garden and side access to an undercover drive through arch ideal for loading/off-loading luggage in inclement weather
■	Initial logs are provided for the multi-fuel stove (thereafter they can be purchased at a small charge)
■	Private Parking in front of the Cottage
■	Microwave, Electric Cooker, Fridge/Freezer
■	SKY Television and DVD Player
■	Radio with CD Player

■	Washing Line (Tumble Dryer available at an extra charge)

■	Private Garden at the front and to the rear of the Cottage with various seating areas as well as 3 acres of tamed and untamed garden (including water filled limestone quarry) for you to explore and enjoy at your own risk

Tariffs

Tariffs vary according to season and are based on a weekly rental from 4pm on Saturday to 10 am the following Saturday (except over the Christmas and New Year period where the rental period is from Monday to Monday). Short breaks are available for a minimum stay of 3 nights and can be booked throughout the year except during peak periods. 5% discount applies to all return guests. Rates include electricity, one set of bed linen per bed and one set of towels per person (excluding beach towels). Additional bed linen and towels are available at an extra charge.

Should you wish to be pampered and fancy a break from cooking Dinner (or even Breakfast) during your stay at Hazels’ Cottage, then why not take a stroll over to Dalnaspidal Guest House for some traditional Scottish and South African cuisine in our fully licensed panoramic Dining Room. We can also cater for larger parties by providing additional B&B accommodation in the Guest House next door.

Directions

From Lochgilphead follow A83 to Campbeltown. About 3 miles past the little village of Bellochantuy you will see signpost for Tangy (as well as the brown tourist sign for Dalnaspidal Guest House) turning up towards your left. Follow the fairly steep single track tarred road through the bluebell wood until you reach the T-junction at the red telephone box. Turn right (you will see our sign) and follow the road for about a mile until you see the sign for Tangy Wind Farm branching out to your left (at the wheelie bins where we also have a sign for the Guest House). Follow this gravel road up the hill past the cottages at Breakachy and as you start descending you will see Dalnaspidal Guest House in the valley below. Hazel’s Cottage is situated next to Dalnaspidal.

From Campbeltown follow the A83 signposted Glasgow. About 3 miles outside Campbeltown you will come to the little village of Kilkenzie. Just a few hundred yards further you will see the signpost for Tangy (as well as the brown tourist sign for Dalnaspidal Guest House) turning to your right. Follow this single track tarred road until you see the sign for Tangy Wind Farm (at the wheelie bins where we also have a sign for the Guest House) turning up to your right. Follow this gravel road up the hill past the cottages at Breakachy and as you start descending you will see Dalnaspidal Guest House in the valley below. Hazel’s Cottage is situated next to Dalnaspidal.
