Directions

From Glasgow take the M8 heading towards Greenock as far as the Erskine Bridge.  Go over the bridge and follow the signs to Campbeltown – A82.  The A82 will take you along part of Loch Lomond, briefly around the top of Loch Long, and a long way down the side of Loch Fyne.   At Tarbet on Loch Lomond stay on the road to Campbeltown – it becomes the A83 at this point.  The A83 will take you all the way to Campbeltown down the Kintyre peninsula.

Drive into the centre of Campbeltown this will lead you to a ‘T’ junction.  Turn left into the Main Street and right at the roundabout (the Cross) and left onto Hall Street.  Continue along the shore line for 3 miles leaving Campbeltown and past Davaar Island.  The single track road continues round the coast and as you start to climb the brae Ballimenach is tucked away 100 meters up on your right.
